At Ecojay LLC, we’ve always taken pride in offering dependable, high-quality products at a fair and sustainable price. Our flagship product, SmartZone, has earned its reputation by delivering reliable performance, year after year, in a wide variety of applications. For over two decades, we’ve built a business rooted in integrity, precision, and a strong commitment to our customers.
But today’s tariff landscape has introduced challenges that we can no longer absorb without adjusting our pricing. While price increases are never something we take lightly, we want to be transparent about why this is happening—and how we’re staying true to our values throughout the process.
We Manufacture What Makes Sense, Right Here in the USA
At Ecojay, we manufacture, assemble, test, and support everything we can in the United States. Our entire team—founders, employees, and support staff—are all based here. More than 90% of our profits stay in the U.S., where they are reinvested into product development, customer service, and building a better SmartZone system for tomorrow.
We aren’t just putting a sticker on something and calling it “made here”—we’re involved in every part of the process that we can realistically and responsibly bring in-house. Our local facility ensures strict quality control, responsive technical support, and the kind of accountability that only comes from people who truly care about the products they make.

For over 20 years, we’ve worked with a trusted group of suppliers and vendors who meet our standards for quality, consistency, and professionalism. These aren’t transactional relationships—they’re long-standing partnerships that allow us to build better products, faster, and with fewer surprises.
We’ve also invested heavily over the years in custom injection molds and tooling that are critical to SmartZone’s reliability and performance. Recreating these assets domestically would involve major capital investments and very long lead times—often years—making it an impractical and inefficient path in the short term. These tools help us maintain tight tolerances, reduce waste, and keep production timelines predictable.
The Impact of Tariffs on Our Costs
Recent changes in trade policy have introduced a new layer of cost to many of the specialized materials and components that we source as part of our manufacturing process. These tariffs have significantly increased the cost of doing business—not only by raising material prices, but by creating ripple effects across the entire supply chain, from shipping to lead times to raw material availability.
We’ve held off as long as possible. But at this point, absorbing these additional costs would compromise our ability to deliver the quality and reliability that SmartZone is known for. Rather than cutting corners, switching to lower-grade components, or compromising on customer support, we’ve made the difficult decision to implement a modest price increase.
